Joy Ogude
Born and raised in Lagos Nigeria, Joy immigrated to England in 2003 where she went on to further her education. Despite having the enviable title of ‘Chartered Physiotherapist’ under her belt, Joy is now pursuing her life-long dream of becoming a television presenter.
Whilst holding down a full time physiotherapy job, Joy kick-started her TV presenting career, traveling around the country filming online television. During this time, her passion for TV grew much stronger. Hence, rather than just presenting, she began writing TV ideas and pitching them directly to broadcasters as well as independent production companies. As most of her ideas are inspired by her alternative upbringing, her passion for young people and her confidence to make the bold statement that ‘It is okay to be different’; it is therefore no surprise that this captured the attention of some highly respected people.
These days, Joy can be seen presenting Sky Three’s youth culture show ‘What’s Up?’ She is currently working on her next project, an original documentary she developed herself and will also be presenting. It has been a highly promising journey so far for Joy.
