Ben Jones

Ben is a Sony award-winning broadcaster having spent the last 12 years on national radio. Through his many primetime shows, for both commercial and BBC radio Ben has become one of the most instantly recognisable voices in the UK.

Ben joined Virgin Radio aged 23 back in 2001, and quickly rose through the ranks of the on air team. In 2003 he launched the station’s all new evening show. Every weeknight between 7 and 10pm, he would play out the nation’s favourite music indulging himself in 3 hours of live sessions, interviews and the best new music around. Exclusive sessions with the planet’s biggest stars created a show Ben was born to present and made this a must listen every evening even as Virgin Radio changed identity to Absolute Radio in 2009. The show became one of the few places on the radio where real stars were given the chance to talk about what mattered to them and to choose the music to accompany their interview. The “A listers” included The Rolling Stones, Bon Jovi, REM, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Kiefer Sutherland, John Travolta, Cameron Diaz and Bruce Willis.

Ben is currently producing his first series for broadcast on BBC Radio 2 in 2012. The Brian Johnson Rock Show is fronted by the legendary AC/DC singer Brian Johnson. It features incredible songs and anecdotes from the Geordie rock star along with guests such as Robert Plant. The series was devised by Ben and co-produced by Ben and the Sony Award Winning production company Somethin-Else.  Ben has also worked for BBC London, BBC Radio 5Live and the Heart Network.

Ben has nearly 20 years of live TV under his belt ranging from kids TV at Disney, to ITV and most recnetly Sky Arts where he hosted the highly acclaimed Summer Festival season alongside Zoe Ball. It was a huge success for Sky Arts, creating the channel's most watched programmes to date.  It was also a world first, as it was broadcast in stunning 3D and featured Ben introducing interviews and music from the likes of Kasabian, Foo Fighters, Liam Gallagher and Tom Jones to name a few.

Ben has also fronted campaigns for Hard Rock, Reebok and Mens Health.
